Hi
Does the bag with the "strange rubbery soft material that flops flat" have a name?
I don't mean like one of the kids' TV characters.
I mean what should I ask for if I wander into PC World with an unsheathed m200 this weekend?
Thanks

Hi Neil,
It's made by Tucano...
http://www.tucano.it/ENG/html_esterno/index.htm

...and as far as I can see from their site, it's the "Cobra for Apple Horizontal Limit 14/15 inch" - but I can't really be sure and there's no labels on it to say. If you get the right one, the M200 is a perfect fit in the laptop compartment...
http://www.tucano.it/ENG/wcProductCard.asp?WCI=product_card&CardCode=GEN_ITA&ProductCode=BOL-AP-G

It took them a good ten minutes or so to work out how much it should be, since it was unlabelled - didn't even have a barcode anywhere on it.

We bought a DVD rewriter too (internal PC drive, not for the M200), and they started to try upselling some CDRs at the counter. When I said we didn't want them, they offered them for half price. When I said we still didn't want any, they gave them to us for free! Apparantly they've been told to sell lots of them, so they're determined to do so even if it means giving them away. They actually charged for the CDs and knocked the same amount off the price of the drive, so it looks like they're selling them.

Two honors in one post! The trackback at the top of the responses list from Life On the Wicked Stage: Act 2 is a blog run by someone whose posts I spent much of last night reading on TabletPC Buzz, and learned a lot about the M200 from. Then I discovered that this post has been linked to by James of JKOnTheRun - one of my favourite blogs, all about mobile tech stuff - tablets, PDAs, and such like.

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the reply about the bag Michael
I'll have a look for that at PC World and try and fight off the CDR hawkers.
I wonder if they do stickers for the otherwise trendy label-less Cobra Apple Horizontal too. You know like "Not an iBook inside" and "I heart my tablet pc".

(Oh and I've now consulted my toddler son who says it should be called Little Red Tractor. Odd name for a computer but never mind)
