Pencil Revolution have written a review of PaperMate’s American Natural pencils. They sound a bit on the cheap side, but on the other hand, they are cheap.

According to Moleskine Art, Moleskine may be about to launch a new sketchbook that will work well with watercolours.
Lots of people are frustrated by their Moleskines, because they love the form of the books, but the paper doesn’t take watercolour well. The notebooks are a bit too thin, and the sketchbooks seem to have some sort of coating that blocks the water.
Whilst you’re at it, do stop by to admire the site design of Moleskine Art – the permalinks don’t seem to work too well, but you’ve got to love that interactive Moleskine at the top of the page.

Be careful on the travellators in Ikea.
(Not done by me, it’s by Adam Preble, but it’s too funny not to share.)

Looking for a random slap of inspiration? Try checking the latest things people have bookmarked with del.icio.us and tagged with ‘Creativity’.
This is how I find a lot of the material for posting here or adding to our articles. I actually subscribe to the RSS feed from the same page, and usually let it build up links for a few days before scanning through it. I don’t worry that I might pass something by scanning through quickly – if it’s interesting enough, someone will tag it again and it will bubble back up to the surface for me to notice it again.
Del.icio.us is a social bookmarking site – people bookmark sites and pages with it, and apply tags to those bookmarks – that’s what you’re seeing – all the web sites people have bookmarked and tagged with the word ‘creativity’ – makes for an interesting bit of serendipity.

An excellent new toy – make magazine covers from an image on Flickr.
You take an image you’ve uploaded to Flickr, add your magazine title, tagline, price, and lines of text. It turns the whole thing into a mock-up magazine cover.
