Is it too soon to say “all’s well that ends well”?

I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I was interviewed for a permanent job on the same trading estate as Michael’s work. Well, I was delighted to receive an offer a couple of weeks ago, and I start there on Tuesday.

I really hope I can settle in at this place. It looks promising – I’ve visited the office a couple of times and it’s a quiet, friendly and very industrious little place. And it’s right across the road from Michael’s place. I might even be able to wave at him while he’s busy licking Pelikans, or whatever it is he does there now. I lose track. 😉 I’ve been really lucky to land a job so close to home. I was preparing for commutes to Exeter, Bristol or even London.

So, is it too soon to say “All’s well that ends well”? I’ve learned a few things over the last couple of months. The main one being that I can trust my instincts. And my instincts are telling me this job will suit me fine and should be the ideal day job for years to come. Unlike previous work adventures, I know I can do this. So no, it’s not too soon. This job is going to be the best yet… fingers crossed, touch wood, light candles, chant Paradise City backwards etc etc. Wish me luck.
