Cheapster PDA
Latest Update: Added a link to the perfect companion to the Cheapster PDA, the 2-Minute Paper Wallet.
OK, so it’s just a bit of folded paper, but if Merlin can name a stack of index cards and a clip the HipsterPDA, we can name this the CheapsterPDA. Based on an idea from the book
How to Make
Clicky Piccy to see it in Flickr – there’s notes on each stip on there, so it should be quite a bit easer to follow…
The Finished CheapsterPDA
How about a wallet, too?
- The Two-Minute Paper Wallet – Storage for your cash, cards, and probably your Cheapster too, in this easy-to-make wallet]. Found on CraftZine.
Build Your Own Pre-Printed Cheapster
- PocketMod – an excellent Flash app where you can create your own version of the CheapsterPDA / PocketMod, selecting pages from a list of templates, and it will build and print it for you.
The MiLO from SuccessMinders
- MiLO – the Micro Life Organizer from SuccessMinders – a PDF to make a Cheapster-style organiser, with some ToDo list forms, and a handy little weekly calendar.
Necronomicon Notebooks
Same folds, different templates – the Necronomicon Notebooks. (Thanks to Boing Boing.)

It was working ok yesterday, and it’s working ok for me now – might have just been down temporarily. Thanks for letting us know, anyway.
To create FasterCheapsterPDA (:P) do not re-open it after folding, and the cutting is easier: http://northslope.lap.pl/stuff/images/cheapsterpda/fasterCheapsterPDA.jpg
The Flash appy @ pocketmod.com does not allows to change the title or fill your own info. I made this template in doc format which can edited, eg to add events to calendar, notes etc. Find the template here.
Thank, Calvin, that looks pretty good. I’ve just opened it in OpenOffice, onto an A4 page, and a few things got moved about, but it all seemed to drag back into place easily enough.
Nice work!
LOL, I love it!
