There is an opportunity to change the world for the better. A chance to lift one person to their rightful place, head and shoulders above his contemporaries, getting the recognition he deserves for the work he’s done and to spur him on to continue.
So when you vote, vote right.
Vote for Philip Glenister for Best Drama Performance at the National Television Awards.
Oh, and as for that other vote thing… I’d go for Obama. Seems like a nice bloke.

Thanks for your input on the U.S. election. I’m aware that Obama is more popular in Europe than McCain, but I don’t read a lot of European blogs, so I’m grateful for any input I incidentally get.
I’m a Hillary supporter who has moved to Obama, and no, I don’t think Hillary hurt the Democratic party by staying in the primary race until the end. I think having two highly competitive Democratic candidates getting so many votes each and collectively was both a symptom and promoter of health for the Democratic party…like a good, sweaty, Bikram Yoga class in a hot room. Cleansing and strengthening.
McCain and Palin are running on a post-9/11 ticket, but it’s too long after 9/11 now. You can’t call Obama a terrorist without evoking giggles. The American people are not that dumb.
Sorry Nan, this was meant to be just a light-hearted post to alert people about an upcoming TV awards show, with a tacked-on remark at the end about the elections…
Having said that, I do think that an Obama victory would have a positive effect globally, so I do hope that’s the way America votes.
