Who? Well, a year ago I would have said the same thing. We only discovered him when he appeared as a guest on The Colbert Report. According to Colbert, he was a badass chef/writer whose uncompromising opinions on food made him essential viewing. We found the episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Search for "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" on: DuckDuckGo, Amazon UK, Amazon US) set in London, and became hooked on his wit, enthusiasm and silver-fox good looks (admittedly that last one might just be me).
As we often do with shows we like, we acquired every episode we could, and watched them back to back. And thanks to that we were introduced to other wonderful personalities such as regular guest Zamir Gotta and chefs Eric Ripert and Fergus Henderson.
Highly recommended viewing. In the words of the man himself “this… does not suck”.
