I saw the smoke from just outside our flat. We’re on the top floor of a four-storey building, so we get a good view over Tiverton. There was a plume of black smoke rising into the air quite a distance away, in the direction of the business park. We couldn’t really tell where it was coming from, though, as our view was blocked by an inconvenient tree. We rushed out in the car to find out what was happening. There was a bus on fire on the North Devon Link Road:
It had been burning for a while by time I got to see it and photograph it, but was still blazing quite well. After a bit longer, the firefighters extinguished the fire, and the clouds of black smoke gave way to clouds of white steam that gradually subsided.
