Bins and park benches were never supposed to be held captive, rooted to one spot. They should be free to wander – free range bins and benches. That’s what we need.
Perhaps the RSPCA should campaign for more of this sort of thing. Anyway. The Junction in Cambridge (UK, not MA, amazingly) has installed bins and benches that wander around, form patterns, and make friends with each other. The benches like people to sit on them. The bins are a bit shy, but they’re hoping they’ll develop a bit with time.
