I’ve heard from a number of places that any new blogs greated go into a sandbox, and Google won’t return any results from them for at least six months or a year. Turns out it’s not true. I only created the Spam Recycling Centre a couple of weeks ago, and it’s already appearing in Google search results.
Interesting. Either they’ve stopped sandboxing new blogs, or they’ve un-sandboxed it because it had to be manually checked for being a spam blog.
So far, it’s made ten cents from the advertising. That’s not enough to get too excited about, but it’s more than any of the spammers made by sending me the stuff in the first place, so I guess it works out well on balance.
