Home :: Pencil Lead Packaging

I’ve always liked the little containers that spare leads for automatic pencils come in. I know, I’m terribly sad.

When I was young, I had some Pentel leads that came in an odd little diamond cross-section plastic box, and the Rotring ones we’ve had recently are in two comparments, with a single lid that can open at either side – but all the leads are the same, so it serves no purpose.

Dave at Dave’s Mechanical Pencils has been looking at all the different boxes he has, and he’s got a much more interesting selection than we have…

Personally, my favourite so far is the box the Mars 780 leadholder’s spare leads come in – there’s a couple of pictures near the bottom of our review.
