One of the first old lenses I bought when I got started on the idea of attaching vintage screw-mount lenses to my Sony NEX-6 was a Chinon 135mm f/2.8. It was months before I got around to attaching it and actually using it. I took it to the canal, and managed a few shots of swans with it. When I got the pictures out of the camera and saw them on a bigger screen, though, I was really impressed. It’s given very nicely sharp results, and great tones for both colour and monochrome shots.
I’m not sure the swan was so impressed. I think this was his attempt at looking threatening, but it didn’t work. Just looks a bit funny.
