The Quayside is a nice area, just outside the city centre of Exeter. It’s where the shipping canal ends, right next to the River Exe. There are shops and plenty of pubs and restaurants, and The Ridge coffee shop, which does amazingly good espresso and cakes. There are often things going on, with plenty of water sports on the river and canal, too.
