The end of the Grand Western Canal is just a few minutes walk from where we live, on Canal Hill in Tiverton. At the canal basin (the end of the canal) there’s a floating cafe/bar called The Duck’s Ditty, and a little shop. Always nice to have a little shop. There are also trips on the horse-drawn barge for a nice quiet trip along the canal and back.
The Tea Gardens are just below the canal, with good food along with the (rather predictable) tea and cream teas.
