Computers: Dial Up Internet

When given the choice of using unlimited dial up internet for £10, a month, or just paying 1p (£0.01) per minute for the connection, we figured it would be cheaper to go with the £10 a month. Good choice.

When our last bill came, I worked out how much it would have cost, had we gone for the 1p/minute option. It turned out to be £114.61. Ouch. Good choice there. In one month, we’d been online for 7.6 days. We both work full time, so that’s just evenings and weekends, and the computers are switched off when we’re out, so they’re not connected if we’re not there. Maybe our Internet addiction is becoming a problem…
