Our Icy Steps

We live in a top-floor flat, in a four-floor building. The door is on the outside, with metal stairs to get in and out. It snowed on Friday, then froze over the weekend, so they’re now covered in ice. Like this:

It’s going to be interesting getting down tomorrow morning. Might have to be done slowly and backwards.

Don’t Look Down

Almost the same shot twice – first with Instagram on my iPhone, then with my Nikon D90, processed in Aperture.

It’s the view from just outside our front door. We live in the top-floor flat of an old four-storey building on a steep hill in Tiverton, Devon. I wasn’t good with heights when we first moved here, but I think I’m getting better at them now.

Digging Up Canal Hill

We’ve only lived on Canal Hill in Tiverton for a few years, and it seems to have been dug up a lot in that time. There’s a gradually-moving section dug up at the moment, that’s currently partially blocking both entrances to the place we live.

We had a notice through the letterbox warning us that at some point during the work, our water may turn brown, and that if it does, there is no need to consult a doctor.
